Events and initiatives not to be missed
Every year, Friends of Genoa supports and organises events of international scope, collaborating with local organisations and institutions to offer art and culture to the city and the world.
We protect cultural heritage
We support and enable restoration work on important public and private monuments of the city, in order to return them to the community.
The Foundation's restoration work has allowed us to complete the largest project by the Ministry of Tourism, as part of the UNESCO DOGE Project, which involved the Central Fountain, the "risseu" paving and the green furnishings, with the remaking of all the hydraulic and electrical systems. Ours instead focused on cleaning the large Venus Pudica fountain, emptying the basin, cleaning it from the weeds and reeds that were suffocating it. The statues of the musicians, the benches, the marble vases and a small marble basin were also cleaned.
New lining, modification of the existing frame, analysis of the painted surface: ultraviolet and infrared fluorescence; chemical analysis of pigments...
We believe in the future and in young talents
We believe in the future and in young talents. In cooperation with leading universities, the Foundation designs and supports important and distinctive study projects to retain and attract both Italian and foreign young talents to the city through the provision of scholarships.

Organisation of 'Think Tank' meetings to promote innovation and sustainability and make Genoa a model for inspiration.
